A 1/2" level (which would cost a lot more then the next option, because you will need UCA's) or a slight trim to the mud flaps and tying the liner back will remedy it.The biggest tire you can fit on a Chevy Colorado with stock suspension and stock rims are 265 65 17’s. They will be without any rubbing problems, and no trimming or additional modifications are required to make them function properly. The stock Colorado sizes are: 255/65/17. 265/65/17. 265/60/18. 255/55/20. As well, going to the other front wheel (the one turned out) and checking the space between the rear of that tire and the well will give you the second clearance. The smaller of the 2 is the max increase in diameter. By the way, increasing tire size reduces engine performance. Ray.Both sizes have their strengths and weaknesses in terms of ride comfort. 33” tires are a bit more comfortable, while 35 inch tires offer better control. So, to summarize, if you plan on driving in rough terrain with many hills and valleys, go with 33 inch tires. If you plan on driving on flat ground or mostly on dirt roads, go with 35 inch ...I decided on Duratrac 285/75r18 on the stock wheels. I didn't want a lift, or something to wide, but really wanted a good size sidewall. This tire is 34.8 tall with a 8.4 sidewall but only 11.2 wide. really fills the well, but doesn't hang out at all. No rub, even at full lock..
